LUMEN — Design & art direction studio

Context

LUMEN is a design and art-direction studio based in Abidjan. The site had to embody its positioning — considered visual systems, not generic solutions — without ever stealing the spotlight from the work on display.

Goals

• Translate the studio's exacting standards into every interface detail
• Stage the projects (identity, editorial, motion, web) without overwhelming them
• Set out a legible approach manifesto: form in service of meaning, detail as proof, systemic thinking, creative constraint

Solution

An editorial composition with a slow rhythm: assertive typography, navigation pared to the essential, scroll transitions that reveal the projects one by one. Motion is everywhere but never precedes the content — it accompanies it.
